Two months to go before the opening of the 14th FIMMA Brasil 2019, 80% of its exhibit area has been sold

Preparations for the fifth largest fair in the world for the woodworking industry are being made at a fast pace. From March 26 to 29, Bento Gonçalves (RS) will host the 14th International Fair of Machines, Raw Materials and Accessories for the Furniture Industry (FIMMA Brasil).

The importance of the fair is proven by the numbers that it produces: in the four-day event, US$ 290 million in businesses is expected to be generated by the approximately 360 exhibitors that will be representing 500 brands from 30 countries. The exhibit floor will consist of a 58,000 sq. m. air-conditioned area.

Two months to go before its opening, FIMMA Brasil 2019 has already sold 80% of its exhibit area, accomplishing its purpose of promoting a great show, based of reliability, tradition and organized by the sector with focus on the sector itself. The motto of the fair this year is differentiation and innovation. There are at least five new initiatives that will add value to the event by opening new niches for exhibitors and expanding the product offer and services to 25,000 visitors. In addition, services essential to the well-being of those attending the fair are being expanded and improved, providing food areas, access to Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves, a parking lot and shuttle service.

At the 14th FIMMA Brasil visitors can see a wide range of machinery, panels, finishing products, accessories, software programs exhibited in pavilions A, B, C, D, E and G.


- FIMMA Mobstone – Stone Furniture project aims to promote greater integration between Brazilian furniture, design and stones.

- The forestry industry, with an exclusive 1500 m2 area, will have new features at the 14th FIMMA Brasil.

- ArqDay, part of FIMMA Workshop, will be a day dedicated to specifiers, especially architects and designers.

- The Factory in Action project, an initiative recently developed by the Woodworking Industry Suppliers Association (Affemaq), will also be present at the event, featuring a fully operational furniture factory. Visitors will be able to see the processes and monitor the production of furniture in real time.

- Meetings between exhibitors and approximately 200 entrepreneurs from all over Brazil. During the four-day event, business managers of the woodworking industry will be visiting the show, promoting information exchange, strengthening partnerships and conducting business.

Visitors can pick up their badges when they attend FIMMA Brasil 2019 by entering their e-mail address at one of the printing terminals located in the entrance of pavilions A and E. For security reasons, no one under 16 years of age will be admitted, even if accompanied by a legal guardian.

Other FIMMA Brasil 2019 projects
The Buyer’s Project completes 10 editions, that is, two decades of services bringing together Brazilian businessmen and foreign buyers in business meetings, in addition to technical visits. It is an initiative carried out within the framework of the Orchestra Brasil Project to promote exports – organized by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves with the support of Apex-Brasil.

FIMMA Joiner seeks to encourage the development of small companies in the segment, facilitating their access to information. The show management believes that bringing professionals closer to sources of knowledge is key to improve business.

FIMMA Workshop provides a series of lectures that help show the paths to the competitive management of products, processes and innovation. The challenge of this project is to expand knowledge, creating connections and complementing the exchange of information on scenarios, challenges, design, trends and the market that involve the furniture industry.
